Baskets, skimmers, spiders, and chip scoops!
Here we have deep fryer baskets for plunging into high-temperature oil, chip scoops for scooping chips once they have been pulled out of the oil and salted, and a large selection of skimmers / spiders. Whether you call it a spider, a skimmer, or even a spoon sieve, the function remains the same—to either scoop hot food out from a liquid or skim off a build-up such as foam from the top of a broth, or ripened cream from the top of milk.
